Jonathan Glenn Reinhardt, PhD Candidate Department of English, Cornell University
Jonathan was born in Berlin, Germany, into a bilingual family. He’s has always had a little too much curiosity for his own good and wasted his youth on adventure. After completing his German draft deployment in Africa, he moved to the United States and collected a number of other great stories from internships at newspapers and similar assignments, which have included street riots, Supreme Court justices, Middle Eastern fanatics, and corrupt police officers in the methlands of the Deep South. Jonathan is a PhD student at Cornell University. His dissertation is titled “Political Secrecy and Theatricality in Marlowe and Shakespeare.” He also teaches English courses, most recently about mystery fiction, espionage, Shakespeare, Descartes, and Utopias.
Jonathan enjoys soccer, sailing, running, British television, keeping up with current events (especially on security, intelligence, and foreign relations), reading fantasy and historical fiction, and connection interesting people with other interesting people. He is unhealthily addicted to coffee and to great stories.
